Dr Mara Donora is a physicist, engineer, and business leader with deep expertise in data-driven engineering transformation, mathematics, and coding. She has a degree in physics and quantum information theory from Oxford and a PhD in smart medical device engineering and AI. With leadership experience across consulting, engineering and technical innovation, she has built and led high-performing teams across Europe and North America. While leading North America Consulting at Quick Release_, Mara oversaw multimillion-pound engineering strategy projects across EVs, automotive, robotics, and more. She has designed advanced lab systems, automated high-throughput testing pipelines, and advised global firms and early-stage startups alike. Mara brings her technical expertise in mathematics, product and machine learning engineering, and operational leadership to Marid Intelligence.
Ben brings over a decade of experience leading engineering transformation and operational improvement across complex technical environments. With a background in hands-on delivery for major OEMs and a track record of driving strategic change across multiple sectors, he has led multiple consultancy practices — shaping how tough problems are solved for clients and scaling high-performing teams. Ben’s approach blends structured thinking with a practical mindset, honed through years spent on the ground with engineers and execs alike. Outside of work, he's usually exploring the hills of North Yorkshire — ideally without phone signal.
Nick is a seasoned CTO, leading technical strategy and engineering execution at the Venture Studio MOHARA. With a First-Class degree in Physics from Oxford (awarded the Scott Prize for top performance), Nick brings a rare mix of deep technical insight and product intuition to early-stage startup building. His career has spanned healthtech, govtech, and edtech, including roles as CTO and technology advisor for startups and social impact ventures. He's also a technology advisor for the Longitude Prize on Dementia. Nick is driven by the belief that great engineering is invisible when it works, disastrous when rushed, and transformative when done right.
